AMR: Vivli

The idea behind Vivli AMR is that the research projects enabled by this platform will further advance understanding, inform decision-making, and drive policy changes in the medical community, global organizations such as the United Nations and the World Health Organisation, and wider society.

What is the AMR Vivli Initiative?

Vivli is a non-profit organization working to advance human health through the insights and discoveries gained by sharing and analyzing data. It is home to an independent global data-sharing and analytics platform that serves all elements of the international research community.

Antimicrobial resistance is a present and growing global health threat. Currently, at least 700,000 people die each year from drug-resistant infections, which the United Nations warns could rise to 10 million deaths per year by 2050.

How Our Collaboration is Making a Difference?

Researchers across countries are leveraging our shared data, driving new insights, and advancing innovation through the AMR Data Challenge. This is a strong validation that transparent data sharing can catalyse high-quality research outcomes and strengthen the global AMR ecosystem.

We believe that data has the power to accelerate meaningful innovation when it is shared responsibly and used with purpose.

Credit to the Vivli AMR team, especially Rebecca Li, Amanda Skarlupka, PhD, MS, Catherine D'Arcy, and Patricia Bradford for the excellent work done over the past year in enabling this progress.
